Meet My Bestie + Black and Olive Outfit Post

We laughed, we cried, we danced, we prayed, we worshiped, and we had a fabulous weekend!!
"You can always tell when two people are best friends because they are having more fun than it makes sense for them to be having.” I have to say; it was so amazing to laugh and hangout with my best friends. If you are longing for a best friend - pray for one!! God couldn't have blessed me with a better bff. She's a foot taller than me exactly (I'm 4'11 she's 5'11), she loves Jesus, food, fashion and football!! I mean she's amazing! There are those times when we can be together without saying anything at all and just enjoy each other’s presence.
Having a best friend is such a beautiful thing!! Whether it’s your spouse, a family member or girl friend who feels like family, it's so nice to have people in your life who see the best in you and who inspire you to want to be better. It’s awesome to be able to laugh at silly things and cry on one another’s shoulders. Friends are priceless so be very grateful for them. Friendships should be treasured. Show them how much you appreciate them, and take the time to sit and do nothing at all other than enjoy your time together. To my dear bestie…I love you! Thanks for being my best friend. Now onto our outfits; both my top and bottom are from Golden Hanger, and my jacket is from J.Crew. Hannah's top and bottom are both Lulu Lemon and her bomber is from Francesca's!!

Valentine's Day Outfit + Dating History

Happy Happy Valentine’s Day. This post is for all my single ladies. I am going to share a little bit of my dating history. For about five years of my young adult life, I had a boyfriend (who I thought was my future husband). With that being said, I always had a date on this beautiful holiday. In 2014 that all changed. This was the first Valentine’s Day in five years I didn’t have a valentine. I wasn’t sure what exactly to do with myself. But, God knew exactly what he was doing and he couldn’t have been more on time.

In 2014 I got saved and fell madly in love with our heavenly father. If I would have had a boyfriend who knows if my mind would have been clear enough to be overcome by God grace and mercy. In 2015 I fasted from dated for a whole year. During this year I dated God. What do I mean by dating God? I mean, my weekly date nights all year were spent in prayer and worship. I devoted the time I would spend texting bae, reading Gods word. Let me tell y’all, it wasn’t easy at first. During the first month of my fast, I had at least five Godly men (from my church) ask me out on dates. Ladies, between me and you, they looked GOOOOOD. But, I was fasting so I knew they weren’t for me. I also knew that a Godly man worth dating would wait for me. Especially, if God spoke to him and said I am his future wife!
"Wait for and confidently expect the Lord; be strong and let your heart take courage; yes, wait for and confidently expect the Lord." Psalm 27:14 AMP

Anyway, your girl had to truly trust God with her love life. My flesh wanted to say yes to any and every date. Hahaha… thank you, sweet baby, Jesus, for blessing the hot mess express that I was and transforming me into who I am today. Hallelujah (in my best Madea voice). I mean before my fast, I was so thirsty for the attention of a man. No wonder why God had me take a year off of dating, after a five and half year relationship. During this year of no dating, God turned my thirst and hunger, for an earthly relationship into a heavenly relationship with Him.
“But first and most importantly seek (aim at, strive after) His kingdom and His righteousness [His way of doing and being right--the attitude and character of God], and all these things will be given to you also.” Matthew 6:33 AMP

Now that it’s 2017 this will be the fourth year I don’t have a boyfriend on this holiday. Let me tell you, this is such a beautiful thing. At this point in my life, I don’t know who my future husband is but my Abba Father knows. Now I can say I willingly trust God with my future husbands life and, of course my own. God has given me a newfound peace about my future husband. He transformed me. He changed my focus to encountering His presence on the daily. So all in all, I am single and I am so thankful for this season of singleness. Like so thankful!!

Ladies, you may have to go through some stormy season but God will answer your every need. He knows your deepest desires. He put them there, and He has your best interest in mind. If you’re single, invite God to do a new work in you this Valentine’s Day. Trust him in the process and in the waiting. “And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose. ” Romans 8:28 Amplified Bible (AMP)
“Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires and petitions of your heart.” Psalm 37:4 Amplified Bible (AMP)

My song of the day today is "This Love" by Housefires - Album Housefires II. Its a song about Gods love and how His love is in every moment of every an everyday. When I first heard this song it changed my life. Head over to my Instagram @ChelseaOlivia13 and watch my story. I listened to it today during my morning worship. God love is so freeing and it will heal you from your past relationship and hurts. If you aren't free there is freedom waiting for you. I pray that God sets you all free. Gods love cast out all fear so take some time today and feel His love. Thank y'all so much for reading my blog. Love y'all!
